Well, I’m making a blog post which means I survived!
As you might have seen in the teaser video I posted last night, I popped open the 11 yeard old bottle of Korbel for the 2011 edition of Open That Bottle Night. And I have to say that I came very close to not having the
Korbel since my husband had second thoughts about opening it. He started talking about how the bottle had been with him through several moves around Atlanta, and then to his current home – now our home. The conversation then progressed to how far we’ve come over the last 11 years. And I started feeling really guilty when he brought up our future children and how he’d like to give the bottle to them one day. But the guilt quickly vanished once he mentioned that his ex-girlfriend had originally decided to save the bottle. I knew right then and there that it must be opened – and fast.
So, without further to do, here is the link to the youtube video of tasting of the Korbel. And I think you will see that I was quite surprised!

All in all, I have to say that OTBN was a success. We got to remember the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future – all while enjoying some wine. And that my friends is what OTBN is all about.
Did you celebrate last night? If so, I’d like hear about your bottle of wine and any memories surrounding it. Cheers! ~KP

Nice story – it’s amazing how much enjoyment a bottle of vino can bring about!
